Fiore Garden

The Fiore Garden

Fiore is very fortunate to sit on 4.5 acres of land in northern Virginia giving the children in our community an extraordinary space to explore.

Fiore worked hard to develop the school environment we have today. Fiore owners brought in Robin Moore, a nationally renowned architect, landscape designer and specialist in design of outdoor learning environments from the University of North Carolina. He and his team helped create an awareness of the age appropriate engagement with nature that is needed by the young child and a vision for the outdoor yard for toddler, primary and elementary age groups.

Included in the design are many natural features, such as a creek bed that runs through the main and toddler gardens, a bamboo tunnel, a butterfly garden, stone labyrinth, and a large open space to play. Other elements added to the space include rock walls, a tire swing, bridges, xylophones, balance beams, picnic tables, a stage, and many others.
